SPIRITUAL DIRECTION, RETREATS, WORKSHOPS

I offer various forms of Spiritual Direction from workshops and seminars to more traditional direction sessions. Typically a session lasts 50 to 60 minutes and usually occurs on a monthly basis, with exceptions as needed and agreed upon.

Unlike counseling, which tends to be more intensive and short term, the Spiritual Direction relationship may be long term if the directee chooses to incorporate this charism into his or her life as a regular spiritual practice.

Sessions can be scheduled as face to face meetings, or via Zoom, Facetime, etc. Initial consultations are free.
Use the Information Form to let me know if you're interested in any of my listed services.

PRAYER WORKSHOPS

Sometimes our concepts of prayer are self-limiting, so we assume we are just "no good" at it. Perhaps there is a better "prayer fit" for you! Look for future workshops here that will help expand your understanding and experience of prayer.

Couples or Group Spiritual Direction

In spiritual direction you explore your spiritual journey in a confidential, nonjudgmental, supportive environment. Sessions can be one-to-one, as a couple, or in a group. One-to-one and couple sessions are one hour long; usually on weekdays during business hours (some exceptions can be made).

Dan is also available for group spiritual direction in the retreat, class, and workshop format.

rates

$75 per person for each one-on-one hour long session. I understand and will try to accommodate people of varying income levels. In the case that the above rates would prohibit you from taking spiritual direction, there are a limited number of sliding scale slots that may be available. (Currently, all sliding scale rates are being used)

retreats

  • Weekend getaway retreats for leadership teams or church staff.

  • 1/2 day or 1 day onsite retreat experiences for teams, staff, or congregation.

  • 3 evenings onsite with your congregation

Retreats are focused on carving out sacred space where we can give our undistracted attention to God. Together we engage mind, body, and spirit in prayer, reflection and worship. In retreat we posture ourselves to receive God however he comes to us. Retreats are a time not only of rest, but of re-engagement, re-envisioning, refreshment and recalibration.  Our pilgrimage on earth is unsustainable without choosing to periodically make a retreat. "Therefore, let’s make every effort to enter that rest." (Heb. 4:11)

True wisdom consists in two things: Knowledge of God and Knowledge of Self.

WHAT MAKES YOU TICK - THE ENNEAGRAM EXPLAINED

It is impossible to journey authentically with, and toward God, without coming to better know oneself. He simply won't allow it, and so He leads us into all truth. The Enneagram is one helpful tool toward that end. Unlike most personality theories, the Enneagram offers not only insights, but pathways to spiritual growth. You might enjoy taking a free test, or an inexpensive but more in depth test here.
