I recently had the privilege of leading a three-part ecumenical Advent Retreat in California. Over three evenings together we focused on the three directions of our spiritual journey, "upward, inward, and outward". Catholic and Protestant believers came together to deepen their friendship with God and each other through short teachings, prayer experiences, and worship. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." (James 4:8)
